Healthy Chicken Parmesan

Chicken Parmesan is a dish that claims the top spots of many favorite food lists. It is not that shocking when you think about the ingredients. Any meal that features tasty chicken, cheese, and tomato is proven to be a fan favorite for many. Chicken Parmesan dishes at restaurants have ingredients that are not GAPS approved and not good for your gut health, but never fear, I have a recipe to share that will give you the most delicious version right in your kitchen. HEALTHY CHICKEN PARMESAN RECIPE Recipe By: Jillian Vander Ploeg, Healthy GAPS Mama Serves: 3-4 People Shopping List: Chicken Breasts
INGREDIENTS:
1.5-2 Lbs Chicken Breast or Tenders
3/4 Cup Almond Flour
3/4 tsp Garlic Powder
3/4 tsp Onion Powder
1 tsp Italian Seasoning
3/4 tsp Dried Basil
1/2 tsp Sea Salt
1/4 tsp Ground Pepper
1/3 Cup Shredded Parmesan Cheese
Clean Tomato Sauce
INSTRUCTIONS:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit
Line baking sheet with parchment paper, or glass baking dish will work as well
In a small bowl, combine almond flour and all seasonings
Coat each piece of chicken in the mixture and place on baking sheet, sprinkle additional Parmesan cheese if desired
Place in oven and bake until internal temperature reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit
Remove from oven, top with tomato sauce, cheese, fresh basil and enjoy!
